About the Position

We are looking for VP R&D to join our leadership team and spearhead the growth of our R&D department. In this hands-on role, you will be pivotal in shaping and executing the technical vision and driving product development at Matia. You will be responsible for setting long-term goals, establishing R&D priorities, and ensuring alignment with our business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Defining and executing our R&D strategy to support Matia’s vision, driving innovation in our dataOps platform
• Building and scaling a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence while tackling technical challenges
• Recruiting, mentoring, and retaining top talent while providing strong leadership to ensure smooth operations in the R&D department
• Collaborating closely with Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to align technical development with company-wide initiatives and goals

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a VP of R&D or equivalent role, ideally in a fast-paced startup environment
• A proven track record of leading R&D teams and successfully bringing new technology products from concept to completion
• Extensive hands-on experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and React
• A natural leader with excellent communication skills, capable of inspiring and motivating cross-functional teams
• A strategic thinker with a data-driven mindset and an ability to solve complex technical problems in dynamic environments
• Experience with developing SaaS platforms or DataOps solutions is a strong plus

Location:

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Ramat Gan (walking distance from both train stations).
